She had a great reverence for nature and loved animals, sunsets and gardening. Survivors include her husband, Lee Geinert of Merrill; two daughters, April (fiancee, Kevin Emigh) Geinert of Wausau and Anita (Mark) Knowlton of Eden Prairie, Minn.; one son, Aaron (Ruth) Geinert of Merrill; her "adopted" daughter, Rhonda Irwin of Merrill; three siblings, Melvin (Twila) Reich of Tampa, Fla., Norma (Marvin) Geinert of Backus, Minn.

He was a member of First Congregational Church, Kulm, American Legion, Elks, Jamestown Elks Band, Jamestown Drum and Bugle Corps and Devils Lake Elks Band. She grew up on the family farm near Zeeland and attended rural school in Mc Intosh County. She was an active member of United Church of Christ Church, Wishek and Marthas Ladies Aid since 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepfathers, Christ Opp and Christof Just; four brothers, Otto, Paul, Gottfried and Ferdinand; two sisters, Pauline Rudolf and Ida Bechtle; and two great-grandchildren.
